The BlueDiamond™ Toolkit mobile application provides a streamlined method for installers to commission BlueDiamond multi-technology readers directly from a mobile device. The process has been simplified by eliminating the necessity of a Bluetooth® dongle, utilizing Bluetooth connectivity from the mobile device itself to establish communication with the readers.

• No Bluetooth dongle required: The application facilitates commissioning without additional hardware, connecting directly via Bluetooth technology available on the mobile device.
• User-friendly naming for readers: Installers can assign easily recognizable “friendly names” to the readers during commissioning, facilitating their identification and management within the system.
• Modification and update capabilities: The app allows users to scan for existing readers at a location, modify their settings, or reassign them under different names, supporting efficient maintenance and reconfiguration.
• Commissioning of mobile-ready readers: BlueDiamond mobile-ready devices are displayed within the application as recognizable yet unlicensed devices. Once a License Meter is activated, these readers can be scanned and commissioned seamlessly within the app.

The BlueDiamond platform supports a comprehensive, next-generation access control experience. It incorporates multi-technology readers, a versatile mobile application, and the use of mobile credentials. These credentials enable a touchless access solution, allowing building occupants to reduce physical contact points by turning their smartphones into secure access control devices.
